BRIGHT DAY KENYA
Empowering Futures, Enriching Our Earth
Bright Day Kenya is not just an organization; it's a beacon of hope for vulnerable children and a guardian of our planet's future. Our non-governmental organization is dedicated to ensuring access to education and championing environmental conservation. We are here to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and the health of our environment.
IMPACT AREAS
EDUCATION
We provide scholarships to empower needy & vulnerable children to attend high school or technical/tertiary institutions, donate educational resources to school libraries, and establish reading clubs to promote literacy. We also offer volunteering opportunities for youth and career mentorship.
ENVIRONMENT
We actively engage children in environmental conservation through school-based working groups, sensitizing them through art and creativity, and organizing wildlife conservation study trips. We mobilize communities to participate in tree planting, environmental cleaning, water conservation, and waste management. Capacity building in modern farming methods is another focus, including kitchen gardens, fruit farming, and drought-resistant crop farming.
ADVOCACY
Our advocacy efforts encompass Children's Rights Education, Gender-Based Violence, and Female Genital Mutilation, addressing vital societal issues.
HEALTH
We provide menstrual health education and sanitary towels for teenage girls, offer hygiene education to both boys and girls, and supply cleaning materials such as soap and oil. We also raise awareness about mental health.
